Tom Welling (Clark Kent)

Kristin Kreuk (Lana Lang)

"In real life, I could go out with any of the guys on Smallville. Clark would be a great boyfriend because he is so loyal and generous. Lex is very sexy. You know, that dark, evil thing is always attractive. And Pete is just plain funny. A lot of girls, including me, like funny."

Kristin Kreuk was born on December 30, 1982 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She had her first shot at Hollywood during her senior year in high school, when she landed the role of Laurel in the CBS series Edgemont. Along with Smallville and Edgemont, Kristin can also be seen in Snow White: The Fairest of Them All and on Neutragena commercials. She also appears in the new mini-series, Earthsea, on the SciFi channel.

Kristin went to college for forensic pathology before she became a serious actress. "I wanted to be a forensic scientist," she laughs. "I was interested in the problem solving aspect to it. That you could go to a crime scene and find out how someone got into a house. Or how someone was killed. I thought it was an interesting field and I still do."

Kristin still resides in Vancouver with her family, which includes her Chinese mother and Dutch father. When she is not filming, Kristin enjoys reading, traveling, gymnastics, writing, dancing and spending time with friends and family. Her two favorite colors are purple and yellow, and she has a close-knit group of friends that she really values. Kristin is... suprise!... into hip-hop! "I'm into all types of music actually," she admits. "I go through phases, but I do enjoy The Roots and A Tribe Called Quest. My music collection is very eclectic."

Born in Oceanside, Long Island, New York on July 11, 1972 and raised in Indiana, Rosenbaum discovered his passion for acting at an early age in high school. Annette O'Toole (Martha Kent)

A talented songwriter as well as an accomplished actress, O'Toole and her husband Michael McKean were nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song for the feature film A Mighty Wind.

Jonh Glover (Lionel Luthor)

"Growing up, I was shy and terrified most of the time. I became a clown. That was a part of my defense."

John Glover was born in Kingston, New York,on August 7, 1944 and was raised in Salisbury, Maryland. For ten long years Glover worked off-Broadway before Jane Fonda's notorious slap in Julia caused audiences to deliver standing ovations for this amazingly talented newcomer. When he decided to take the next step into Hollywood, Glover packed up his bags and moved to Los Angeles, where he landed the role of Victor DiMato in the television movie Early Frost, playing a brave AIDS patient. His performance earned him his first Emmy nomination.

His impressive resume also includes such box office hits as Payback, with Mel Gibson, Woody Allen's Annie Hall, Robocop 2 and Love! Valour! Compassion!

Erica Durance (Lois Lane)

"Tom was the first cast member I met and he was very generous and totally unaffected by how well the show does. Just a very cool guy, the same with everybody."

Erica Durance, aged 26, is one of Smallville's newest additions, appearing as Lois Lane in 13 episodes of the show's fourth season.

Also sometimes credited as Erica Parker, she has appeared in episodes of Andromeda and The Chris Isaak Show. She was also in the movie "House of the Dead."

"Of all the different female leads in comics, Lois Lane was always my favorite because she was so involved," she said in a New York Post interview. "She was always so involved in everything going on; she's a go-getter, she was really in there, quite tough and kind of a hero in her own right."

Sam Jones III (Pete Ross)

"People recognize me a lot now and ask for autographs and pictures. They always have positive things to say."

Having been in Hollywood only two years, Sam Jones III is already making quite a name for himself. He recently completed leading roles in two upcoming feature films, "Zigzag" and "Snipes," as well as having guest-starred in several television series. His role as Clark Kent’s (Tom Welling) best friend Pete in the new action-adventure drama "Smallville" marks his series-starring debut.

Growing up in Boston, Mass., Jones acted in local commercials. After spending a summer vacation with a friend living in Los Angeles, he caught the showbiz bug and decided to pursue a career in acting. Soon after he graduated from high school, Jones moved to Hollywood to follow his dream.

His first job was a memorable guest-starring role on "NYPD Blue" in which he portrayed a troubled teen who stole a gun and hid it in his daughter’s crib. From there, his career began to grow. His credits include an emotionally charged recurring role on "C.S.I." He also guest-starred on "Judging Amy" as a sexually abused teen who gets mixed up in a drive-by shooting. Jones also appeared in two episodes of the new R.L. Stine series "The Nightmare Room," which was canceled after a short season on the Kids’ WB!

On the big screen, Jones is poised to make an auspicious debut. In the gritty independent drama "Zigzag," he plays the autistic 15-year-old title character opposite Wesley Snipes as his crack-addicted father. Jones also stars in the upcoming independent crime drama "Snipes," playing opposite rapper Nelly and Dean Winters ("Oz").

When he is not working, Jones spends his time on the basketball court. He currently lives in Los Angeles relocated to Vancouver for the filming of "Smallville."

"The loyal Whitney fans out there, they have a special place in my heart. They saw his true colors when no one else would."

Eric Johnson is from a suburb of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where he was born Eric Johann Johnson on August 7, 1979, the younger of two sons.  He enrolled in theatre school at the tender age of 9, where he found the work daunting but rewarding.

Eric has had an active career in Canada that spans over a decade. Eric's most high-profile role to American audiences (before Smallville) was playing "teen Tristan," the younger counterpart to Brad Pitt in the film Legends of the Fall. After that, however, he went through a growth spurt that left him at 6'1" at 15 years of age (he'd grow another inch over the next few years) so he had a difficult time landing roles between 1995 and 1997.  He didn't let this discourage him, though, and he kept auditioning, landing a few TV commercials and little else during those lean years.

However, once he turned 18, he began landing role after role in Canadian and American productions, both on the small and silver screen, and he hasn't slowed down since.  In 1998 Eric displayed an integrity and determination rarely seen in young actors today by turning down a three-year contract in New York City for a role on a major network soap opera.  He's said he knew better things would come his way - and he was right.

On August 7, 2004, Eric's 25th birthday, he married his longtime ladylove, Canadian writer/ producer Adria Budd, whom he met while she worked as Annette O'Toole's personal assistant on Smallville.  The two are planning several professional corroborations in the near future.

Eric enjoys playing guitar,  photography, painting, kayaking, camping and playing basketball, football and baseball. He is an avid musician, and enjoys jamming with his older brother, who is also musically inclined.
